Από τα βιβλία που διαβάζω, επιλέγω μια φράση, για να την μοιραστώ μαζί σας. Από το βιβλίο της Μαρίας Χριστίνας Γκόλνα επέλεξα την παρακάτω:
…οι άνθρωποι, σε όλα τα μέρη της γης, συγκλίνουν στη ψυχή…
Ένα βιβλίο με ιδιαίτερη γραφή, άξια να την μελετήσεις, για να καταφέρεις να περάσεις στην απέναντι όχθη, όπου τόσο η Ιφιγένεια, όσο και η Ηλέκτρα θα ανοίξουν τα φτερά τους, θα πετάξουν από πάνω τους τον βαρύ μανδύα του παρελθόντος και θα αναδυθούν στο φως ανάλογα με τις ανάγκες της κάθε μιας. Η τέχνη θα παίξει κομβικό ρόλο και στις δύο γυναίκες.

Those of you who follow our column "Book Corner" and our social media, will know that as a representative of our team and also a representative of Fylatos Publications, I participated in the presentation of the two novels of Ms. Maria-Christina Golna at the 51st book festival that took place in Athens, Greece.

As I mentioned before, "Electra and Iphigenia still suffering" has already been reviewed. Next up is "Take me back to that Friday".
Certainly, smaller in size, compared to the second book, "Take Me Back, to That Friday" is, equally, rich in meaning, deeply human, with a hefty dose of empathy and humor.
What I like about Maria-Christina's books is that, in addition to her own stories that she chooses to "shout out", the reference to situations that we genuinely experienced in our own flesh, such as the pandemic, are facts that make me share a "special", "particular" attachment to these books due to the fact that they encompass within their pages a part of my life.
Most notable, however, is that the impetus, for writing this book, was a personal loss, the loss of a close friend, which, as I also mentioned at the festival, I find extremely honorable for this friend, as she will now, be forever eternalized. In a reader's bookcase, on their desk, on their shelves, possibly, even in their minds, as it has been engraved in the author's mind.
Imagine having friends by your side who, truly, honor that affiliation to the fullest.
Furthermore, in the novel, in addition to the nobility of friendship, the concepts of death, loneliness, health, and trauma, psychological and otherwise, are thoroughly portrayed.
The human condition, as it is "analyzed" through the immersion into cancer, depression, trauma, and the conversations among the heroes with their psychotherapists, moves the reader, since, both through these situations per se and through the derived emotions that arise, the readers discern parts of themselves, they identify...
At this point, as each book serves, among other things, as a starting point for a conversation, I would like to focus in particular on the part of Psychological aspect, because it is an area to which many people do not pay proper consideration. The psyche is an element that, similarly to the physical body, deserves its own nurture, its own healing. This is explained in greater detail by the heroines of the books, such as Chloe, Daphne, or Lena, who stands as a wave breaker at the side of her girlfriends.
Ms. Golna's pen is unique. Her words are not superficial, sometimes requiring a second reading, they are lyrical, they are sensational, they are soulful, they are deeply human, and rich in genuine emotion.
Maria-Christina ties all her characters together psychographically with great talent, creating powerful portraits in whose reflections we may recognize our own "being".

Τους προσκαλέσαμε να χρησιμοποιήσουν το παγκάκι ως διαμεσολαβητή σε έναν ανοιχτό διάλογο.
"Οι παρουσιάσεις βιβλίων μπορούν να είναι πολλά περισσότερα από "...άλλη μια" κοινωνική υποχρέωση στο ημερολόγιο".

"Δεν ξέρω αν σας είπα ότι η παρουσίαση του βιβλίου στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής φώτισε το πρωινό της Κυριακής μας. Κρατώ την πολύ εγκάρδια ατμόσφαιρα.
Εκείνο το πρωί, η λογοτεχνία μας έφερε όλους πιο κοντά. Ένιωσα να συνδέομαι με πολλούς τρόπους με άγνωστους σε μένα ανθρώπους που συγκινήθηκαν από τις ίδιες περιγραφές, που στάθηκαν στα ίδια σημεία ή που φώτισαν λεπτομέρειες που μου είχαν διαφύγει.
Και αυτή είναι η ομορφιά της λογοτεχνίας: Το ατομικό συναντά το συλλογικό".

Συνέντευξη της συγγραφέως αναφορικά με την βιβλιοπαρουσίαση του "Γύρισέ με, στην Παρασκευή"
Η βιβλιοπαρουσίαση ήταν μια προσωπική ανάγκη να αφουγκραστώ τους αναγνώστες αναφορικά με το τι ένιωσαν εκείνοι διαβάζοντας το βιβλίο.
Η διάδραση είναι βασικός λόγος που γράφω. Γράφω επειδή έτσι αναπνέω και επειδή έτσι ελπίζω να διασχίσω προς τον έκαστο “άλλον”.
Και βρέθηκε η κοινή μέρα, για τους συνομιλητές, και βάλαμε και το παγκάκι εκεί με φόντο τη ρυτιδιασμένη θάλασσα… “σαν μια γυναίκα ακομπλεξάριστη”, και σας περιμέναμε με αδημονία!
Χαρά ένιωσα. Μόνο χαρά.
Μια συγγραφέας, όταν γράφει, έχει ήδη εκτεθεί στο κοινό.
Το μόνο που έπιασε να κορυφώνεται μέσα μου ήταν η χαρά, του να σας υποδεχτώ εκείνο το ηλιόλουστο πρωινό σε μια αίθουσα γυάλινη, λιτή, καθάρια, για να έχει μόνο εσάς – τους αναγνώστες, τις σκέψεις σας, και τα συναισθήματα σας, πρωταγωνιστές.
Οικοδέσποινα ένιωσα. Και καλεσμένη ένιωσα σε εκείνες τις συζητήσεις που έλαβαν χώρα ανάμεσα στους συνομιλητές (άγνωστους μεταξύ τους) που έτσι το επέλεξαν, να διαδράσουν αυθόρμητα με σημείο αναφοράς το αφημένο βιβλίο μου πάνω στο παγκάκι.
Επειδή τα αυθόρμητα είναι και τα πιο ειλικρινή…
Αν θα το ξαναέκανα;! Την διάδραση; Ναι! Κάθε μέρα.
Να ακούς, τι γέννησε το βιβλίο σου, στους άλλους αναγνώστες.
Περιέργεια ένιωσα. Οικειότητα, ένιωσα. Κατανόηση, ένιωσα. Συντροφικότητα, ένιωσα. Και αισοδοξία. Η επικοινωνία είναι, από μόνη της, μια πράξη αισιοδοξίας.
Ο καθένας μας, μια δική του ερμηνεία, και τη δική του αλήθεια, συζήτησε εκεί, στο παγκάκι του Μεγάρου, εκείνη την Κυριακή.
Στο μετά; Αδυνατώ να βρω τις λέξεις στο μετά… μόνο πήρα να γράφω… οι συγγραφείς καταλαβαίνουν καλύτερα συχνά μέσα από τις λέξεις το παρακάτω.
Περιέργη αίσθηση το μέτα. Απώλεια. Συνέχεια. Δεν ξέρω. Το ψάχνω. Το “Γύρισέ με, στην Παρασκευή” πέταξε από εμένα, και νιώθω ως γονιός, ότι ζει τη δική του ζωή, χωρίς καν να με χρειάζεται. Αναπνέει την δική του, αποκλειστικά δική του, ζωή.
Σιγουριά νιώθω. Ότι νιώθει αυτάρκες. Το βιβλίο. Και χαρά και περιέργεια για όλους όσους γυρνούν τις σελίδες του, μπρος, πίσω. Σημειώνουν, υπογραμμίζουν…
Νέες σχέσεις… που η συγγραφέας δεν έχει καμία ιδέα για το πώς αναπτύσσονται. Και χαμογελάει για όλα αυτά που συμβαίνουν πια εν αγνοία της!
Να μην έχεις τον έλεγχο! Εξάλλου ποτέ δεν τον έχουμε εντελώς!
Η Μαρία Χριστίνα Γκόλνα, γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη, το 1976. Τα τελευταία χρόνια ζει στην Αθήνα.
Σπούδασε σχεδιασμό́ αρχιτεκτονικής εσωτερικών χώρων, στη Φλωρεντία, και εργάζεται ως ελεύθερη επαγγελματίας στον χώρο της διαμόρφωσης ιδιωτικών κατοικιών από́ το 2000.
Είναι πτυχιούχος του διεπιστημονικού προγράμματος «Σπουδές στον Ευρωπαϊκό́ Πολιτισμό́»,
και μεταπτυχιακού́ τίτλου (2017) στη «Διοίκηση Πολιτισμικών Μονάδων» με θέμα διπλωματικής εργασίας:
« Μουσειακή́ εμπειρία για άτομα με προβλήματα όρασης. Αποκλεισμός ή ενσωμάτωση; Διαπιστώσεις – προσεγγίσεις – προοπτικές από την ελληνική και διεθνή μουσειακή κοινότητα.»
«Η Ιφιγένεια & η Ηλέκτρα ταλαιπωρούνται ακόμη», είναι το δεύτερο μυθιστόρημα της τριλογίας, από τις εκδ. Φυλάτος, 2022.
Το «Γύρισέ με, στην Παρασκευή», είναι το πρώτο της μυθιστόρημα, και κυκλοφορεί στην ελληνική αγορά από τις εκδ. Φυλάτος, 2022.
Έζησε στη Φλωρεντία και αργότερα στο Βερολίνο.
Έχει υπάρξει μαραθωνοδρόμος.

Interview about the book launch
The book launch was a personal need to engage with readers regarding what they felt while reading the book.
Interaction is a key reason I write. I write because that is how I breathe and because that is how I hope to connect with others.
And we found the date agreed upon, for the interlocutors, and we even put the bench there against the backdrop of the wrinkled sea... "like a woman unconcerned", and we waited for you impatiently!
I was delighted.
A writer, when she writes, is already exposed to the public.
The only thing that peaked inside me was the joy of welcoming you that sunny morning in a glass room, plain, and pure, to have only you - the readers, your thoughts, and your feelings, as the protagonists.
I felt like a hostess. And invited I felt in those conversations that took place among the interlocutors (strangers to each other) who so chose to do so, to interact spontaneously using my abandoned book on the bench as a reference point.
Because the impromptu ones are also the most honest.
Would I do it again?! The interaction? Yes! Every single day.
Listening to what the book has generated in other readers.
I was curious. Intimacy, I felt. Understanding, I felt. Fellowship, I felt. And optimism. Communication is, in itself, an act of optimism.
Each of us, an interpretation of our own, and our own truth discussed there, on the bench in the Music Hall, that Sunday.
In the aftermath? I am unable to find the words in the after...I only got to write... Writers often understand best through words hereinafter.
A curious sense of meta. Loss. Continuity. I don't know. I'm looking for it. "'Take me back to Friday' flew away from me, and I feel as a parent, the book is living its own life without even needing me. Breathing his own, exclusively his own, life.
I feel safe. That he feels self-sufficient. The book.
And joy and curiosity for all who ponder on the pages of it, back and forth. They may take notes, or they may underline.
New relationships... that the author has no idea how they develop. And she smiles about all the things that are now happening without her knowledge!
Not being in control! After all, we never have it altogether!
Maria Christina Golna was born in Thessaloniki in 1976. Currently living in Athens.
She studied interior design in Florence, Italy, and has been working as a freelancer in the field of interior design for private residences since 2000.
She holds a degree in the interdisciplinary program "Studies in European Culture", and a Master's degree (2017) in "Cultural Management" with a thesis topic:
"Museum experience for visually impaired people. Exclusion or inclusion? Findings - approaches - perspectives from the Greek and international museum scene."
